Silk Scarves (180 x 45cm)
Silk scarves can be draped and worn as body adornment and head scarves or hung on a wall to adorn your sanctuary!
There are 2 sizes in the silk scarves (180x 45 cm + 180 X 35cm)
100% Hand Eco-Dyed Silk scarf made using native plants from the East Kimberley region of Western Australia.
The process of dyeing involves bush trips to harvest seeds, grasses and plants from country. The raw materials are then crushed up on a grinding plate and stone to make the dyes and/or mixed into the dye pot in the boiling process. Silks can be boiled over a fire pit for days depending on their desired outcome.
Once the boiling process is complete the scarves are removed and rinsed clear, then ironed dry.
Harvesting can be time consuming and seasonal. Some materials are only available after a wet season.
All silk scarves and garments are unique, one-off pieces of art that can not be reproduced!
We recommend not mixing with colours + avoid dry cleaning. For a fresh crisp look simply wet your top and iron or steam dry on silk or cotton setting!
